The biggest return I have received from months of communication with you has been:
1) clarity on what I REALLY want to do – while I do not have a detailed business plan, I am super clear that I do not want to muck around in the corp world for the next few years. PS: Confession – I have spent more time on concept/business plan generation than on essays… which brings me to #2.
2)To not BS: I have been having a challenging time convincing MYSELF that I NEED an MBA. Will it add value to achieving my goals, will I learn and build new relationships? No doubt.
Do I really need it to accomplish my goal of creating a start-up? No. I am very convinced that being a creator and getting started NOW is the right thing to do. So convinced, that I have given my 3 month notice per contract and will be returning Stateside in Jan. A huge challenge awaits, but I am committed to make this work.
Your advice has been of tremendous value to my reflective process over the past few months… so THANK YOU for being not a consultant, but a mentor and coach… one that always knew of when to challenge, and when to foster.
