In the spirit of true collaboration, EssaySnark has designed this as a safe, respectful place to solicit, and offer, comments on the essays you’ve written for bschool.

The forum is loosely moderated – EssaySnark may step in from time to time and offer our own opinions on submissions we see there.

This also helps those of you who aren’t interested in pricey admissions consulting (even though we’re ridiculously cheap for what we provide) but still want to get some input on your drafts. We try our best to post as many free essay reviews here on the site as we can but we just can’t get to everyone’s.

Here’s how it works:

1. You’ll sign up for a one-month subscription for $ 8.95. Once you sign up, **NO REFUNDS ARE AVAILABLE** because you’ll have instant access to all the stuff on the site.
2. You’ll log on and post your drafts into a private section of the site, available only to others who are also active in the Crowd-Sourced Essay Reviews forums. It’s up to you to sanitize the essays and redact any personally identifiable information; even though this is a protected site, you’re still posting on the Internet.
3. While you’re waiting for others to comment on your drafts, you’ll go through the other essays posted by your peers and offer your own opinions on what they’ve done well – are they clear in what they’re saying, can you understand the writing, are they answering the question? It’s a reciprocal system; you’ll give some comments of your own in exchange for getting some from other people.
4. You’ll get to look at the archive of essays that were posted before you joined, which can be very helpful as a learning experience.

Of course, the comments you receive will be other people’s opinions, so you’ll need to evaluate them carefully before making changes to your drafts. We recommend leveraging all the resources available, such as our SnarkStrategy Guides that walk you through the mechanics of building out each essay for almost all of the top schools. EssaySnark will pop in from time to time, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy or suitability of other people’s comments on your drafts. Use your head as you examine the ideas you get back.

Signing up for the Crowd-Sourced Essay Reviews forums lets you post essays for feedback from other members of the EssaySnark community - and sometimes from EssaySnark, too! Set other Brave Supplicants loose on your drafts and see what they have to say. Are your essays ready for prime time? You'll also be asked to offer your own opinions and give feedback on others' essays in return. The best way to learn is by doing. Check out what your peers have written in their drafts and give some practical input into how they have answered the question, and it will help you build your skills to develop an even stronger set of essays yourself. This is a 1-month membership. No refunds are available since you get access to the forums and all previous posts from the first day of membership. Terms

Your subscription to the Crowd-Sourced Essay Reviews site is separate and distinct from all other products and services. You don't need to be a member of the EssaySnark blahg to participate in Crowd-Sourced Essay Reviews, and signing up for the Crowd Sourced membership doesn't give you access to the premium content on the blahg.

We recommend that you sign up for the Crowd Sourced Essay Reviews when you have an essay or two written, so you can post them right away. We also cannot guarantee that anyone else will provide comments on your draft, though we will certainly encourage them to do so. We cannot guarantee that anyone will post any comments for you; the amount of activity in the forums is not under EssaySnark's control. The forums are busiest in the six weeks before deadlines.

EssaySnark may, but is not obligated to, post comments of our own on any essays posted in the Crowd-Sourced forum. Essays posted in this forum will not be posted publicly on the main EssaySnark blahg, though you may submit an essay posted to the Crowd-Sourced forum for consideration for a free review by EssaySnark on the EssaySnark blahg if you wish.

The forum is designed for helpful, polite, respectful participants. Anyone who has trouble understanding what that means will be warned; if the behavior persists their access will be canceled. There are no refunds. You are expected to contribute thoughtful comments to others' essays as part of your subscription. Members who are rude or abusive to others may be barred from the site.

Ethics

EssaySnark takes ethics seriously. Subscribers have access to other people's work. Your work must always be your own. Remember that many schools use plagiarism detection software; if you copy someone else's words then it's likely to trigger an alert, and that could get very messy indeed. Besides, just because someone else is posting an essay doesn't mean that their essay is GOOD (though we hope that all BSers' essays are good!). You can avoid all problems by simply writing your own essays for your applications.

We reserve the right to contact the schools you are applying to in order to report unethical behavior if a fraudulent chargeback is filed on this purchase. A "fraudulent chargeback" is when you claim that you did not receive the service even though you did. You are purchasing this product by your own free will. Please do not try to scam us with false claims later on. This is a one-month membership to this portion of the EssaySnark website. There is no reason to cancel because there is no recurring charge. You will get access for the full period purchased. After that, access will stop and you won't be charged again.
