The Accepted Student's Pre-MBA Prep Guide
Yay – you got in!
Now what?!?
This SnarkStrategies Guide was inspired by an email we received many years ago from a just-accepted Brave Supplicant that went like this:
Hi EssaySnark, I have a quick question for you. My usual ‘coffee and blog check’ now seems moot since I’ve been accepted, as every morning I would check places like Accepted, ClearAdmit, etc just to get more tips on the application process and all that good stuff. I will probably still go to those places (after ES of course!) but I was wondering if you had any suggestions for sites to visit more geared to starting the transition to bschool? My girlfriend is excited for the What to Expect When You Are Expecting movie and I wish there was something like that for b-school. What to Assume When you are Admitted? doesn’t have quite the same ring, but you get the gist.
This SnarkStrategies Guide is that. This Guide will help you plan out all the tasks and details that you need to take into account as you transition your way into bschool. With sections on financial preparation, academic preparation, cultural preparation, and more, this Guide will give you advance notice of how to get ready for business school, with tips and tricks and insights on situations you didn’t even think about before now. Let EssaySnark help you make the most of the time before your MBA adventure begins!

Essay Snark has been my #1 place to go for admissions advice. The strategy guides and blog posts have been awesome. Now if you dont mind, I have an "Accepted student's guide" to read through.
I enjoyed the breakdown of the chapters on what to consider and tips that I did not see anywhere else online. Some things that may help improve this guide:
1.Deposit: When you have multiple admits, you can extend the deposit due dates by calling the schools with earlier deposit dates
2.Moving: The easiest way to move within US is by using Amtrak shipping. Google it!
3.Apartment: Lease and furniture take-overs from graduating MBA students are great
4.Timing: Another benefit of applying in R1 is that by R2 welcome weekend, housing prices spike because landlords know that the MBAs are coming.
