When you’re aiming for the most selective and “elite” MBA programs, our stance is you should be aiming to be accepted. Don’t try to maximize for scholarship dollars, since that’s near-impossible to control — unless you’re willing to be flexible on the tier of the school you’re trying for, and you have a profile (particularly around GMAT score) that would make you particularly compelling.
