It has begun!
HBS has released its Round 1 (September 7) and Round 2 (January 4) deadlines and confirmed that its essay question will remain the same for the coming admissions season.
Wondering what that question is?
“As we review your application, what more would you like us to know as we consider your candidacy for the Harvard Business School MBA program?”
The full application information is of course available on the HBS admissions page and we have oodles of info on our HBS admissions page too!
We also caution you that just because Harvard is the first one out of the gate to release application information, that does not mean you should write your HBS essay as your first application project. No no no, please do not do this! There are a bunch of reasons behind this strong advice (as you can read about in EssaySnark’s HBS Application Guide) but the essence of it is that the Harvard essay is REALLY hard. It may seem super simple, but no, it truly is not. You don’t want to do such a difficult question as your first attempt at writing an MBA admissions essay.
There’s plenty that you can be working on right now if you’re planning on applying to the Class of 2025, but writing your Harvard essay should not be one of them.
We will be picking up the pace with practical application readiness tips around here, now that the season has officially kicked off. Next up with app info is expected to be Columbia, and Michigan Ross often releases info early too. It’s coming, people, get ready!
