($) The BSer’s Dilemma: Deciding between two highly-ranked MBA programs

April 4, 2022 by EssaySnark Leave a Comment

You got into one really good school, and, dang, who woulda thought, you managed to also get into another! Or maybe even more than just two!

So this isn’t like meeting someone on a reality TV show and saying you’ll marry them in five weeks*… and then deciding whether you are really going to go through with it…

But it’s close!

Today we’ll talk about what to do when you’re admitted to Harvard and Wharton.

It may seem like the hardest decision you have ever had to make

Obviously with these two schools, you can’t make a wrong decision — but the decision you make will have an outsized impact on the rest of your life. Not to freak you out or anything, but it really does change the trajectory, just based on the geographics where you’ll be, and the friends you will make, and the connections you’ll gather. To some extent, many of the same job opportunities could potentially come to you, regardless, but it certainly affects what your experiences will be for some time come. Not a trivial situation!

If we can help with our Private Consult, you can hit us up with some ideas on what you’re considering — need not just be for these two schools, can be for any combo of choices you’re entertaining.

While it is most definitely a good problem to have, we’ve seen BSers get incredibly torn up about this. It can cause serious anxiety and stress. If that’s happening for you, take a breather! Either way you choose, life will be good. But yeah, navigating through the decision making itself can be a lot. Congrats for all the hard work you put into getting yourself into this spot, and we know you’ll make it through with the best decision in the world in your hand. Let us know if we can help be a sounding board as you sort through the options!
