($) Round 2 Crunch Mode: Which schools have the easiest apps?

December 15, 2021 by EssaySnark Leave a Comment

Often around this time of year, when panicking BSers show up on the doorstep panting and sweating about all the essays they’ve just now realized they need to write, we try to offer a calm steady hand, including useful posts that give practical advice to guide them by the way.

Frequently, such posts include guidance on which schools to try and tackle, given how much time is left (or how little), and which schools are shaping up to be especially competitive this season.

We always do such advice-giving in our highly personalized Comprehensive Profile Review, and today we figured we’d also try and give some insights on which schools have essay questions that are — relatively speaking — perhaps not quite as difficult to tackle.

(Ahem.)

While it’s important to be cranking out essay drafts at this point, you also want to be strategic. More drafts does not mean higher quality drafts. Figure out exactly which schools you’re going to try for, and plan your essay development strategy carefully, to maximize quality in light of what will eventually be burnout.

More apps is not better, and each essay will require significant rounds of revision before it is officially “done.”

Want some input on whether the app you put together has an actual chance at your school? Our Sanity Check pre-submit review will let you know if you’re on track and have a shot of success based on what you have constructed.

Leave time in this process for recharge as well. The best writing usually comes forth after you’ve let it rest for awhile, then returned. Cramming is not likely to get you to high quality. This process needs time in order to let your ideas settle, ripen, and mature.

Good luck as you tackle this intensive phase of productivity, Brave Supplicant! We’ll be along for the ride if we can support you in any way.
