The holidays are fine and all but it’s DECISION SEASON!! The happiest time of year!!!!!!!
For those who have begun to get the phone calls that you’ve been waiting for for months… CONGRATULATIONS!! We’ve been hearing of admissions successes already starting to come in, and it makes all of us in Snarkville so proud.
If you have landed an admit, please update your School Strategy status in SnarkCenter! We’d love to have the honor of celebrating with you.
What about those of you ramping up for Round 2? What does it look like out there in terms of how the season is playing out?
Well, from what we’re seeing already, there are spots available for strong candidates!! Round 1 is showing signs that yes, it’s been competitive, but perhaps not that much different from recent past years.
Starting in the Spring, we’ve been expressing concerns that this year, Round 2 will be significantly oversubscribed. We’re tempering those concerns a tiny bit now, based on the market forces we’re seeing at play, and the insights we’re hearing behind the scenes, but it is honestly too early to tell. The best schools will remain very, very competitive. However, international applicants especially may prove to be in a good position this season.
Are you trying to figure out where to apply? The Comprehensive Profile Review can give you input on your school choices in the context of the details of your specific profile and background.
If you’re on the tail end of this process but still waiting to hear: ONLY A FEW MORE DAYS!! We expect more schools to be making phone calls on Friday this week and they will be coming in force next week as well.
If you’ve gotten disappointing news: Please remember that each school’s decision is an independent event!
If you are waitlisted: Ugh, that may be the toughest outcome of all. We will be sharing more on what to do if you’re waitlisted in the coming weeks.
In case those who are holding a winning ticket in hand are wondering, “Wow! Awesome! OMG! Uhhhh… Now what?!!?”:
