On the other hand…. there are nuances.
In addition, there has been a shifting of trends and changes in the mindset in admissions offices at top schools all across the country. What admissions directors are really looking for is known only to them — and even that is subject to change. This process of evaluating talent based on reviewing a stack of papers and statistics of test scores and grades from college courses is very individual.
They even say that the time of day that an application is reviewed can have a bearing on whether the applicant is invited to interview or rejected. Yeah, for real! It’s that subjective.
Let’s focus today on the things you can control: Putting together a smart application, with a well-argued pitch for why you need an MBA and what you will do with it.
Some schools do focus more on career goals in their evaluation of an applicant than other schools do.
