Are you going to focus intently on the schools that really matter to you, doing all in your power to craft an incredible pitch to each one?
Or are you going to do a scattershot approach where you just flail apps out into the yonder and hope some of them land?
We say this every year (see “How many apps should I do?”) and we’ll say it again this year: When it comes to your application strategy and selecting your schools, more is not better.
This is not a numbers game.
It’s not about getting your name in front of as many admissions readers as possible and hoping one of them will say “yes.”
It’s about constructing a pitch.
