We're the snarky experts in MBA admissions!
Sometimes amused and often appalled by what candidates write in their MBA applications to top bschools, EssaySnark created this little blahg to share common mistakes. Learn from them and avoid making admissions directors laugh (or want to hurl) when they read your essays. If you are hoping to have your essay reviewed anonymously on the blahg for free, submit it for consideration.

Why do you think Johnson doesn’t get as much love as other schools??

@Robocop – it’s a good question! Part of it is that Cornell wasn’t getting much love from the rankings publications for lots of years (which makes it a vicious cycle in keeping apps down). The biggest drawback we hear is that Ithaca is just too removed. It’s really an issue for people coming to bschool with partners; there’s nowhere for the partners to work in the surrounding vicinity, and it’s a real b!tch to get to Ithaca from the major metropolitan areas. Tuck and Darden also suffer from this, and Duke too (lack of a major airport), but Cornell has it the worst. Of course, that remote location can be a real advantage, if you ask us! It forces you to focus on school.
