While most of our time on the blahg is currently spent exhorting all of you intrepid Brave Supplicants who are still in the pre-MBA phase – GMAT tests, essay questions, what about that GPA… This post is actually directed at those who’ve gotten through the gates and completed their first year of studies, and are now seeing the end of their summer internship approach.
Dean Bruner at Darden wrote this blog post in summer 2013 and we kept it around to share with you now. Even if you’re still facing the dreaded application process, there’s some tidbits in here that may be helpful to you – and you can put this in your back pocket for (gulp) two years from now when you’re headed into the second year MBA experience and need to make every moment of the summer job count.
And tip for everyone: Seek out those blogs from the school faculty and administration. Not only are Dean Bruner’s posts super smart, but what he shares often gives incredible insights into the school and the culture . It’s no substitute from visiting the place but it can give you a glimpse.

Thanks for the heads-up; we were FreudianSlipSnark, apparently, by originally linking to this instead of Bruner’s post.
