30 Days of Essays is underway once more, and we had a question from a Brave Supplicant who’s trying to figure out the best strategy to get essays done this month. Here’s what we said:
If you already have your drafts written, then you can get help on those now through a comprehensive essay review package. (Note that during the month, special offers will be made available to Guided Tour and Private Coaching subscribers for discounts on those comprehensive packages.)OR… if you don’t have essays ready yet… or even if you do… you can do the Guided Tour to get detailed instructions and ideas for how to approach your essays and develop compelling material for the adcom. You can post questions to the forums as part of the Guided Tour and we’ll answer you there (publicly). If you want more one-on-one feedback, then the Private Coaching add-on is the way to go (you can get questions answered and feedback on strategy but no formal essay reviews are included).Basically it depends on how far you are already with the drafts. We’ve had people with essays fully developed who decided to start over with the Guided Tour, since they realized they had been headed in the wrong direction. If you do the Guided Tour, you should try to work on it every day to get the most value. This is even more true with the Private Coaching, since you’ll want to take advantage of the opportunity for daily feedback if you can.
If you want to try the Guided Tour, you can get 1-day trial for free, with full access to all the content available to date. To start your free trial:
- Join the 30 Days of Essays site by creating a free account
- Log in
- Go to the Manage menu and choose Premium Membership, and follow the instructions.
Of course, if you’re more self-directed, you can join the 30 Days fun for free. Every week, we will be identifying a type of essay that everyone will be tackling — career goals, leadership, etc. You can post questions in the free public forums and get answers and support from the whole 30 Days community (and from EssaySnark too of course!). On Sundays, we put out a call for status reports, and everyone is invited to report in by posting a note saying how far you got, and what you plan to do in the week ahead. We hope you’ll join us! Now is the time to write essays for bschool, and 30 Days of Essays is the place to do it!!
