Woo-hoo!! Many of you have been celebrating some sweet Round 1 successes of late – and we are celebrating right along with you!
We’re collecting results right here on the blahg — please report in poll to the right if you made it in!!
If you’re among those celebrating today and you’re feeling flush, feel free to drop a token of gratitude in the EssaySnark Tip Jar:
Or, if you’re a cheapskatefurther inspired, please do us an even greater honor:
- If you had an essay reviewed on this site, please go find it and post a comment about what your outcome was
- If you used one of the SnarkStrategies Guides, you’d be providing a serious benefit to others by leaving a review about it wherever you bought it
- If you sent us a question through Evisors, you could update your comments about our services there
- If you had private essay reviews, we’d love to get a guest blahg post from you about your overall experience in the admissions process
Any or all of the above would be greatly appreciated by the ‘Snark!!! We do all this freebie stuff to provide a service to Brave Supplicants everywhere and it would be awesome to get word of how things worked out for you.
And, for those who are not celebrating… we are disappointed for you.
Not everyone gets in. Sometimes very well-qualified candidates don’t find success. And it hurts. We know what a blow it can be — yet we’re also optimistic, given that you applied early enough to regroup and attack again! Yes, those next-round deadlines are coming up soon, so there may be some scrambling afoot, but you likely learned a lot from your first round travails and we’re wishing you the best luck as you tackle apps again! You should take stock of your situation, see if you can identify the weaknesses. Often the essays can be improved, the pitch needs to be strengthened, there’s opportunity to fix the positioning. You still have a shot at Rd 2!
For those of you with the unhappy outcome of WAITLIST, check out that post from last year with some advice on what you might do next.
For anyone wanting to get personal insights into what went sideways for you, we’re still offering the special Rejection Analysis service.
For all our Brave Supplicants, those who are now Success Stories and those who are still in the game, BEST OF LUCK and we hope to hear back from you again, regardless of what your next adventure may be.
